PETMETIVA is building safety into account, messaging, adoption, marketplace and specialty-pet workflows from the beginning.
Adult beta
PETMETIVA’s initial beta is intended for adults aged 18 or older. PETMETIVA is developing privacy-aware age checks and human-review pathways.
Reporting and blocking
Users can block accounts and report harassment, unsafe messages, suspected scams, suspicious listings, animal-welfare issues, suspected underage accounts and serious child-safety concerns.
Urgent child-safety handling
PETMETIVA’s moderation design includes an urgent child-safety category with evidence-minimising instructions. Users and moderators are told not to download, copy, forward, screenshot or redistribute suspected child sexual abuse material.

Human review and audit history
Moderation actions are designed to create an auditable history, with role-restricted staff access and appropriate escalation assessment.
Adoption and meeting safety
PETMETIVA encourages responsible handovers, public meeting locations where appropriate, independent verification of important details and caution around urgency, deposits or requests to move communication off-platform.
Specialty pets
PETMETIVA will only support lawful specialty-pet requests. Species, jurisdiction, permit, welfare, sourcing, transport and transfer requirements may apply. PETMETIVA will not facilitate prohibited or unlawful wildlife trade.
